Our Aim

We aim to develop a strong network of collaboration with other leading and key business in construction, design, and academic figures, on the development of innovative solutions to addressing the impact of embodied  and operational energy and associated  carbon  on buildings.

Zaid Alwan – Project Lead

During the last 13 years, Zaid has worked at the University of Northumbria in a number of research and teaching roles, initially in the Sustainable Cities Research Institute (SCRI), where he was involved in key European and international projects around the area of low carbon buildings and sustainability.

Zaid contributes to teaching on a number of undergraduate and postgraduate within Architecture programmes and extensive PhD supervision.

Following the completion of a PhD in BIM and green building design, Zaid now specialises in the areas of digital construction and carbon analysis. One of his recent projects was awarded key funding by the prestigious Centre for Digital Built Britain (CDBB) around the area of whole building carbon analysis in digital societies.

The Team

We believe in a multidisciplinary approach addressing the issue of excessive energy use and associated carbon reporting in building. The team has a variety of skills from BIM specific integration and implementation to  Facilities Management, Design, and Virtual Reality. The team works closely with leading national bodies such as CDBB, to try and highlight the importance of evaluation of carbon in construction.
